What is your process for building new websites?

The most important part of this process is that all parties are very clear on what the desired outcomes are for their website.  So we spend time on getting the design brief accurate. A proposal with pricing and terms is submitted.

Once this is agreed, we’re onto phase one. We clearly outline the pages required to achieve the design brief requirements – along with their suggested flow. Once this is established, we create up to two design iterations for the overall look of the site.  After agreement, we gather as much content and copy as possible from you, then build out the site.  This goes back to you for review and fine tuning, we then undertake the Go Live process.

Finally, once the site is live, we complete your Google set-up, organic SEO and FAQ Schema (if included in proposal). We provide you with training to get you underway with managing your own site content.

How long does it take to design and build a new site?

This is very much dependent on how clear you are on your desired outcomes for your website!  And on how much content needs to be created from scratch.  If you have  a clear vision, content ready to go, we can turn a small site around in under two weeks, including revision time.  Some clients take a year!

Don’t despair if you find it challenging to articulate the uniqueness of your business. We have access to talented copywriters who can talk you through strategic questions to gather the copy for your site.

We can create video, photography and branding elements for your site – in house, helping you get a quicker turn-around and a more consistent design look and feel.

what else do i need to do to get my site discovered by Google

At Aim, we will set your website up with an organic search engine optimisation (SEO) plug-in.  We will populate the main pages with SEO, to give you a framework to copy for the remaining pages.  We offer an (optional) basic FAQ Schema set-up on your home page.  We will set up your Google suite.

If you are a predominantly ‘online’ business we highly recommend you engage the services of an online marketing specialist once your site is live – to further enhance your rankings.  We can point you in the right direction here!

what other costs might I incur along the way to my finished website?

We aim (!) to include all the additional resources in our initial proposal to you, however sometimes projects begin and then you realise that you want to change focus (going through any business branding process is a great clarifier).  So changes to the agreed proposal may incur additional costs.  We are very flexible and will do all we can to accommodate these changes.

Other additional costs may be in content development, ie; photography, re/branding, videography, copywriting.  Usually these are included to a value in the initial proposal.  Another additional cost could be in engaging an online marketing company to assist you in improving your brand awareness and online ranking.
